Exhuast size

Does anybody know the size difference between the 2 pipes coming off the headers, into the single piping size after the cat? Im remoinv the secondary cat, and want ot buy a 2-1 piece of the right size. Thanks a lot

The sizes are dual 1 1/2" in and 2 1/4" out. I used a dual 2" in and 2 1/2" out welded in place.

Just curious, but how did it change the exhuast note. Im guessing you took out the primary muffler as well?

Damn, were they that small? I'v got 21/4 from manifolds back, looks much beastier.

Those sizes were outside diameter. Just changing the cat won't affect pretty much anything such as flow or sound. I did change the whole system from the cat back with 2 1/2" pipe, added a Dynomax bullet racing muffler for a presilencer, and a Magnflow Camaro style muffler. It sounded a little bit louder, but awesome. I don't think anyone would consider it too loud. It flowed better with the nitrous, but not noticeable without the nitrous.

Ya i had a flowmaster setup on my last SVX,how does removing the primary muffler not change the exhuast note? Im not talking about loudness, but you know.

That system with just the Magnaflow is loud with a Honda-ish raspiness to it. The Bullet hushed it up and removed all the raspiness and left it with a nice powerful, mellow tone.
