Re: MIddletown, Ct Car Show + SPL Competition Saturday 9/22

I got a system in my SVX.. but its not comp worthy :/
Just something I through together with left over parts and some scrap wood..
I am using the Orion 225 HCCA that ran my mids & highs in my comp car as my sub amp to push 2 RF punch 10" DVC 2Ohm subs in the SVX.

I used to do USAC SQ in my 1995 Grand AM, I had $15k in custom stereo in that car, I miss doing shows...
Former Orion team xtreme member..
5th in northeast regional for my watt class..
8th in the world at the finals in KC..
I still have all the equipment here.. I just cant bring myself to sell it..
Orion concept 97-2, a limited run of the first digital 1/3 octave EQ.
An Orion 2100 HCCA comp amp .. 200w amp that pushes 1600W @ 1 ohm..
They just don't make these things like the used to.. So I cant part with it..
But blowing out the front window in the grand am twice, I know I cant put this stuff in the SVX..
Damn windshield is half the value the svx..

Here is a slideshow of some shots from my comp car book:

That link is the working link.. Photobucket is having issues today..
"Hello lovely Photobucketeers,
We are currently experiencing site-wide problems due to our servers having an issue. Our engineers are aware of this, and are currently working to get this resolved, and everything back to normal.
These server problems are causing images to not display within your account, and where they are linked across the web. You may see a broken link image, a blank box, or a gray box, in place of your photos/videos.
Thank you for your patience while we work to get this resolved.
-Your Photobucket Support Team"

If you mean the wood over the wheel well, or the carpet, I got it at lowes.
I custom cut a floor for the amps to sit on, then I made a cover plate for them using the factory cover plate as a templet and some wood from lowes and a big hinge. Then I took out the factory carpet and used that as a templet to cut a new carpet that so I could make holes in for the computer fans.

Here is the post on that (from my stereo thread):

If your asking how we made the covers for the stuff in the grand am..
Well that was like 5K in custom work, with remote controlled actuators and all that fun stuff.

Looks like on your back package shelf you have an additional piece behind the rear seats under the rear window. Maybe I am just seeing it different.

Far as I know that is normal. I didn't do anything custom to the rear deck area in the SVX other than putting in custom 6.5" separates, but you can't see them, they are under the factory covers.

Do you have the split fold down seats in the blue car? Maybe that is the difference?
