Re: subaru lover's motorcycle

Can't possibly resist joining this one. Boxer twin engined bikes are phenominal for keeping your feet warm in winter. They 'smooth out' nicely for motorway cruising too. Against which they keep your feet hot in the summer, sound flat and unexciting, restrict ground clearance to the point of danger - physically or financially. Best kept in a 2CV. An SVX powered flat six tourer may be a true delight though....someone invent a compact gearbox please!

Re: subaru lover's motorcycle

Out of curiosity, how many SVX owners ride a bike, and what do you ride?

PS. Sorry if I offended any BMW, Douglas, Ural, Velocette, Zundapp, and Cossack owners with my previous post about flat twins, and I bet I've missed a load out too.

What's wrong with Zundapps Steve? An honest remark has to be taken at face value.

Your "curiosity" question is very appropriate. It probably rates a new thread. In advance I am willing to predict our US SVX + bike owners will have different bikes than us because of different road structures and different traffic.

Also they have less than zero exposure to Road Racing like the TT and NorthWest, so they will be less inclined for full on sports bikes.

Prove me wrong.

Joe
