Re: Crashed my SVX, BLEEP!!

Good job on the body work man. It would also be a good excuse to put a '97 grill on it (i realize yours is not in need of replacement, but the one thing i am not a fan of on our cars is the mock center light/waterfall grill)

Re: Crashed my SVX, BLEEP!!

Thank you gentlemen!

I would LOVE to get my hands on thr 97 grill, just havent seen one at a yard yet.

I am going to get my car painted at some point soon, im just fearful that when they sand it they are going to mokkbar the trim and weatherstrip.

At any rate, time to look where im going from now on in my purple hooded car.

Re: Crashed my SVX, BLEEP!!

Sorry to hear about the crash, and nice body job! I wish I'd known you were needing a hood, I've had a Polo Green hood in my garage since nearly '07 and have been looking to get rid of it since I don't have an SVX to put it on anymore. S'what I get for neglecting the community for so long, I suppose!

Good to know the car's safe and back on the road. Great feeling, eh?

Ah, thanks for the offer. I ended up getting the hood for $45 from the local pick-it-yourself yard, who have two SVX carcasses, one of which was a burgundy CARS victim. I got the hood, headlights, centerbar, under-seat tray, floormats, and misc sensors from it for a good second life. It was crappy to see a CARS SVX around here, but im glad for the opportunity to restore my own with its sacrifice. They also had a 92 pearlie with a fully intact windshield that I hope to nab in the coming weeks.

Sorry to hear about your crash, Chris. But, excellent fix-it work! You should be proud. Hope Reno is treating you well.
