Re: Engine goes Squeak Squeak
Oh. I thought you were supposed to break the rear timing cover to get the pump off.

Re: Engine goes Squeak Squeak
Yeah on your car you just rip it out of there with a big pair of channel-locks..... on all other SVXs you have to remove other stuff first....

On a side note, my neighbor owns Channellock (the company). At least I'm supporting him and his two new Audis.

Re: Engine goes Squeak Squeak
Thankyou.
I was able to get the crankshaft pulley off. I confirmed that the water pump bearing is defective and the cause of the squeek. The timing belt and other idles lookand feel OK. Is it common to replace the timing belt when changing the water pump? Also I noticed that one of my camshaft positions sensors has a large dent in its end. I have had intermittent camshaft error codes and I want to replace this sensor while apart. Any sujestions on a supply for the camshaft position sensor? Mike |

The cam position sensor, on the left side, is the same as a 90-98 Legacy cam/crank sensor. Harvey.
