Harry's-U-Pull it run today and found something irritating

Went to Harry's U Pull it today for some bits for my Not-to-Imprezzive and while walking the rows came across a purple (well maybe lavender SVX). Open the hood to see the engine painted bright orange. CARS was written on the glass and a nice little note stating the car was part of the cash for clunkers deal and none of the drivetrain may be taken (hence the orange paint). Car was very rust free, had a moderately good paint job, no dings, dents or other obvious issues. Interior was pretty good, glass 100%. It was a 92 and the last six of the vin are 100851. Just in case anybody out there needs to figure out what to do with a tree and a rope.

Oh and the guy who marks the cars felt compelled to write on the side of the car "What a Waste" which I didn't see on any of the oter CARS there.

Aren't there some photos of this going around? Or am I confusing myself?

Or a Youtube video maybe?

Yes it is a waste, but I consider it not anymore of a waste than our members parting out perfectly good repairable cars simply because they don't get what they think their car is worth.

If I were you I'd go back with a can of black paint and "unCARS" it.

that is not the car that Ben saw. That car is licensed in TX and Harry's is in PA. I highly doubt they would be the same car.

What are you talking about Eric, there's no SVX there. It is just in front of the tower!

What'cha going for as I'd suggest going to New Ringgold over Harry's with the lack of anything good at Harry's

Re: Harry's-U-Pull it run today and found something irritating

I just checked out this link on Autoblog and it would appear that 123 SVXs were destroyed by Cash for Clunkers.
http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/24/s...served-better/

Second from the bottom of the groupings list.
