Re: Happy Birthday Myxalplyx!!

Just a quick note. I drove the XT and the XT6 when they were new. They wee great cars to drive, but visually... And another problem that drove me crazy on the XT6. It had a flat glass panel over the instruments. When you opened the sunroof and drove with the light behind you, the glare completely obliterated the panel. You couldn't tell how fast you were going, how much the engine was revving, anything!
My daughter says the only way she would have an XT6 is in yellow with flat black discs painted all over it. "As long as it looks like a wedge of swiss cheese, make it really look like one," she said.

Re: Happy Birthday Myxalplyx!!

Oh....my bad for not answering the question properly. She HATES the XT6 because it is ugly. I could not agree with her more. I hated it when I first saw it. Butt ugly! She hates the sliding auto seat belt and got tangled in it a couple of times. She hates the low roof line. She curses at the car and it curses back by having problems when I used to let her ride in it...rarely. Ever since I stopped letting my wife in, the problems went away. Go figure!

What is beautiful about the car is its uniqueness in styling and its stubbornly single purpose in design.....Coefficient of Drag (CoD)! I believe it had the best CoD of that time than any production car of that era. Everything from the body panels, wheels, mirros, door handles, lights, windshield wiper (single one)....EVERYTHING was made to cut through the wind.

I also like the weirdness/uniqueness of it (I am repeating myself). The dual button gauge pod around the steering wheel (Really no dash to speak of for controls), Telescoping/Tilting Steering wheel, one windshield wiper, Pnuematic Air suspension that raises and lowers with speed, Head light washers, Electric Cybrid Steering that adjusts with speed, and so on and so on. I LOVE this car!

It's the same reason why I like the SVX and it's window-n-window feature. Style, uniqueness and knowing that hardly anyone around has one. Teh Coolness! The SVX still gets the love! I can't get enough of either of them.

My wife hates FrankenWedge too....
And I thought they were pretty ugly till I had one...they grow on ya....
And I'd rather drive the XT6 as to the SVX for a Daily Driver.....but the SVX is way better on the open road...
