cigarette lighter removal

i was trying to get the cigarette lighter out and thought i got all the screws.
I was wondering if you have to take the audio deck out to get this thing out.
apparently there's a screw behind it which is impossible to reach around too.

Re: cigarette lighter removal

The dash has to come off to get it the right way. Do a search for work arounds.

Re: cigarette lighter removal

real pain in the but... there are 2 screws from what i remember.. by removing the stereo along with the door and the ashtray, i believe i was able to remove them with a stubby screwdriver. mind you i have small hands, but i was able to remove it pretty easily
