Yep, this was his baby and top of the line LSI as far as I know. I talk to the owner several times a year as he comes to our NW meets and has another SVX now.

He also said the people that bought the car were going to restore it. I actually read through some of the comments on this "new" link and see the new owner posted and said they still drive it around with the battle scars, since there was nothing but cosmetic damage.

There were a few haters on those comments, but for the most part seems the SVX was getting some good love. Even if everyone on there was rooting for the bad guy.

Re: SVX chase for 15 min. of adrenaline.

OK, maybe my SVX spotting skills are starting to deteriorate due to the lack of SVX sightings in my area... BUT is that ANOTHER SVX?

Play the video at 11:59, just as he enters the parking lot at as the camera zooms in at 12:01 on the right of the screen there is a white parked car beside the big white cargo van.

Common anybody else?

Re: SVX chase for 15 min. of adrenaline.

I looked at the "SVX" you think you saw, but my gut tells me it's an early 90's Ford/Lincoln/Mercury, the tree distorts your view but I think it had 4 doors

EDIT: On repeated viewings, and comparing its size with the suspect's car, the white mystery car certainly seems to have similar dimensions. You might be right after all.

Re: SVX chase for 15 min. of adrenaline.

The guy actually stopped and asked somebody if they had a cigarette

And believe it or not, the other guy that was in the Suburban that tried to stop him was charged for doing that. They found out he was sitting at home watching it on TV and saw that it was close to him. So he jumped in his car and took off to stop him. Which was against the law apparently. I think the charge was vehicular assault.

Re: SVX chase for 15 min. of adrenaline.

Granted it wasn't a safe move, nor a cost-effective one that the guy tried who drove the Suburban, but I support his decision. Too bad he was charged for it.
