Where to buy a tranny?

Hey, guys, I haven't been on for awhile. Been busy unfortunately but I've got a question. Where would one go about looking for a transmission? I'd like to be prepared incase mine gives out but the most dominant Google searches didn't have the parts in stock.

Here are two options for searching junkyards;
www.car-part.com
EDEN Online - Hollander a Solera Company

I checked, and they both include Canada.

Depending on what transmission you're looking for, you can also keep an eye on various Subaru forums for people parting cars.

You can also check with guys like TomsSVX and SVXfiles, they usually have a few types sitting around ready to install...

I would think remanufactured transmissions are still available from Subaru, probably from Jasper Automotive, surely others.
