"Maybe the newer technology will flow better than the one designed 13 years ago that is on my car. If it can flow enough for an STi it will flow enough for a NA SVX"

This is what has me wondering too. I on the other hand don't need new exhaust as mine is only a couple thousand miles old, preventing me from spending time exploring other options.
I hope you spend your time exploring your options and end up with a choice that makes you happy.

Well....When someone goes to sell one, ask for some dimensions. Distance between tips, lenghth of the arms coming out of the muffler to the tips, total lenghth, width, and height, and the locaton of the inlet

once you got all that, you'll nkow if it'll fit or not. If it does, you'll likely need to make some custom hangers

If you want to know whether the new STi "muffler" has any potential in the SVX, you'll have to get one and put it on. Nobody here has ever used one.

Yes it is designed to flow more exhaust, but the STi is turbo'd, your car is probably not.

At comparable RPMs, compensating for VE and such, it might come out to about (STi) = (1.5 x SVX)

For capacity, it won't create more resistance, but I'm not sure of the value, otherwise.

Power mod? Probably not a lot.
Aesthetic mod? If you fell down.
Sound mod? You'll probably get a lot more of that.

None for me, thanks.
