No Problem

With only 80K miles, I don't think I would worry much as long as you do a good inspection of things before you leave--like belts, etc. You should know your oil usage to determine if you need to take oil as well as any other lubricants. If tires are in good shape and spare full of air--good to go in that area. Gas her up and let it rip.

I picked up my 96 (150K miles on it) in Scranton, PA and drove it all the way to New Mexico. No problems whatsoever.

Arrived yet?

You should enjoy your long trip, rather than worry too much. If you know "enough" of your SVX and it's in good condition. Your SVX should be ready to go any long trips anytime. SVX also has less chance to drain your battery from your headlights(if you forget to turn off), ,,,,,,

Let us know when you are there and ur trip experience.

City of Orange. Up in the hills.

We leave today as soon as the stuff's put into the car. I just finished putting her back together last night and she's in tip-top shape. See y'all on the flipside and thanks for all the advice.

Are you moving there for school or what? Is your dad moving there with you or he is going to fly back from CA?

It's nice you can travel with your dad like this. Road trip....I remembered I once did the 1000miles in a day myself in a sentra. 38mpg with regular 87 But nothing it can compare with the SVX for the comfort and safety. You should take some pictures with your SVX inside!!

Glad to see the trip is going well my friend. It was great meeting you and your Dad and it's cool that I'll have one more person to visit when I finally get to make a trip to SoCal. Great picture you got of me and the wife, It's a shame Road Demon didn't turn out well though. Good luck and let me know if I can ever be of assistance with keeping the SVX going.

You obviously missed the Oklahoma state sign. There is one on every little road entering it--well at least that I have been on. Its generally a fairly large concrete sign at ground level with an Indian shield on it.

Sounds like you may have passed me in New Mexico already. Unfortunately you don't go through the nicest or most interesting part of New Mexico if you are travelling on I-40.

Budfreak: Yeah, my bad, the camera sucks.

SSSVX: I'm moving there for work, and my dad is with me on vacation. He flies back, I stay.

lhopp77: I swear there was nothing there... but maybe I was blind.

I'll have to update the blog again in a little bit... thanks for the support, guys.
