I don't know what did you mean by "oil"?
Are you talking about "stop leak" oil? You need to give more info then people can give you better opinions. First, based on your profile, yours SVX is 92? So do you know has it been converted to R134a freon yet? If it's not, you may need to convert it first, then you can put new freon in. But again I think there's some freon which is compatible with both, so it's depended on what you get.

Yes, oil first and then charge it with the coolant.

If we can find some refrigerants that's compatible to mix with R12, so we probably don't have to convert to R12 anymore...right

thread hijack:
when i removed my intake manifold i had to disonnect those two hoses going into the AC compressor, letting all the Suva (134a) out of the fittings. All I have to do is just recharge the system with the refridgereant, correct?

Your supposed to vacuum the system first, and hten fill it with 134-A, due to the fact that the gas and atmosphere mixing forms a highly combustable gas, however my 92 retro-fitted to accept 134-A was not vacuumed before it was pumped, and it works fine. Depends on who you ask really.
