Body Panelling Loose - Pics

How do you guys go about repairing loose body panelling? The panelling on my passenger's side is coming loose and it is starting to annoy me. Not sure of the proper way to get it to stick back on. Car has barely been driven since I got it over a year ago. It seems to work itself loose as it sits......in my garage. It is only in one small section but it seems to be getting larger.

is it from the side that is closest to the back of the car? both of mine are loose as well... i noticed that there is a pink clip of some sort that holds that spot in place but i also dont know how to take the panel off - without destroying something.
i checked subaruparts to try to get an idea...it just seems like there is a bunch of clips ..from what i could make out

If you are looking at the lower portion of a door, it is simply a two sided tape.

no, its not two sided tape... thats the duct tape fix. You need to take off the interior panels and behind that there will be a row of bolts that run across the upper portion of the cladding that hold it to the body. You should take the panel off by taking off the nuts that hold the upper portion of the panel and the bolts that are on the bottom of the car. Then look to see what clips are broken and buy replacements... Good luck

Tom is right. Unfortunately what you might find is what I found. The bolts thread on to studs in what I think is the side impact beam. The beam rusted away.

Good thing you found out the easy way.

Easier than say, not having that impact beam and being T-boned.

Yes, I'm a talking about the passeger side door, closest to were the door opens. It is halfway down the door, on the corner of the cladding/panelling. I have included pics above.

Tom ftw. Doube sided tape is basicly a body shop's way of saying "Oh ****....I forgot that nut" Or "Oh no! I broke all the clips"

Whats up with the watery lookign discoloration under the cladding? It looks almost like someone tred to hot glue it back together....If such is the case, youll need to get a razorblade and cut that garbage out / off

I've got the same prob on passenger side too.
The plastic nipple is missing from the hole on the door surface while the panel clip is still attached to the panel....I just don't want to bust something trying to get in there.

I don't know what is up with that. I haven't driven the car much since I got it last year. Not even 2k. Beautiful car but this part is just starting to get under my skin. No biggy but just want to address it before it becomes a bigger problem (rust).
