Question replacing my stereo

Hello out there...
My CD player is FUBAR, any suggestions on a nice looking semi easy to install replacement for the radio & CD player? Any XM options?
Thanks!

What are you looking for in a head unit?

When I replaced mine I was looking for something that matched the SVX interior.

I ended up going with Alpine but had considered Kenwood and, if I could find one, Nakamichi.

Also look into getting a wiring harness from SVXdc to make the swap that much easier.

The best thing to find for an svx would be a double din head unit (it'd fill the bay completely). On my car I just went with a regular "din" size, then cut some plastic to fill the rest of the hole. As for ease of installation. It's a bit of a pain, you have to remove the whole bracket assembly just to install the new deck. It's not too hard to wire up the stereo manually, they have the color codes somewhere on this site if I remember.

I guess it just comes down to how "do-it-yourself" you're feeling on this one.

Above all, just find something you think looks good, the svx can fit a lot of different head units. Good luck!

i am VERY happy with my install, it looks/works/sounds great! and cost 115 after i bought the stereo... 2 harnesses... and antenna extension!

it was a little bit of work, but well worth it, even my girlfriend has been goin on 'bout how nice it is, and she doesnt know the first thing 'bout stereos
