Thats what I thought, but I did a search on the forums, and all of them mentioned screws and such that need to be removed beforehand. I dont want to add a center console on my shopping list

From the console removal how-to:

Trim Removal - The panel is held in place by 4 clips (2 on each side). I found the easiest way to do this is to start with the front left corner and work counter clockwise until you get all the clips.
