Hub Tamer...
Well used one for the first time today to do a wheel bearing... All I have to say is, it doesn't save much time. Getting the axle out of the hub in the biggest pain in the ass I have even experience. Besides that it went smoothly and I will use one again in the future. Just figured I would share

Do you happen to take some pictures? I am trying to replace my rear bearings as well. What brand of the hub tamer did you use? Where can I get one with reasonable price?
Thanks |

Tom,
If you had to spend $300 on the Tamer, would you say it's worth it. I'm asking as someone who may only use the tool 8 times in his life. I thought about purchasing one but agree that the majority of work is in freeing the axle. Once its, out pulling the spindle is no biggie. Marc |

Yes, it is worth it. BUT try and find a used one, Tim got the one I used for $150 and it worked perfectly
