sli or not

well im building a computer for a friend of mine useing a similar setup as my rig.

[URL=http://www.koolance.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=180]case[/URL

thats the case

he wants four 80 gig raptor drives (raid) and a 300 gig drive for music and junk.

but here comes the hard part. sli..... i use abit on all my stuff so i sugested the abit fatal1ty nvidia board. their coming out with it in sli config and he has been hinting at it. personaly i think sli is a waste and he should just overclock the 6800 gt to 500/1200 like i have. what do you think about the new sli. is a 10% performance increase wourth an extra 700$?

Don't bother with SLI and don't bother overclocking. If you want something faster then wait for it to come out or be priced at the level you're currently looking at.
