ABS LIGHT sometimes means low fluid.

The abs light was coming on so i took my car to midas.
Midus added brake fluid.
car was just fine.

When my abs light comes on, and it has 2 or 3 times over the last few years, the first thing i do is check the brake fluid.

so far adding fluid has always solved the problem.
thanks
dwayn

Thats really strange. Usually the ABS light will come on due to a bad sensor or something....never heard it come on because of low brake fluid....thats what the "brake" light is for.

are you sure thats really what the problem is?
when the light comes on, check the abs computer under the passenger seat; on the inside of the door-side rail there's a little tab in the carpet that covers a LED on the computer. It blinks a certain number of times, rests and blinks the same number again. Count the blinks and that tells you the problem. I've got the chart explaining what problem is represented by number of blinks if you need help.

This has always been a problem when the fluid level drops a tiny bit but it has always been the Brake Warning Light that comes on (not ABS or Taillight warning lights)
