Ideally i wouldnt want yellow but that thing is a damn sexy ***** of a car, those seats look delicious. I like the way the VII looks a lot more than the VIII.

You could probably just sell the house, if the test... go away then you'll loose all that fun testosterone and suddenly driving fast and foxy ladies won't be so exciting, but you'll have 30 pairs of shoes, and love to shop Macys white days sale every year...

One of these days, people will have to educate me on why those little rice rockets are so damn popular.

I guess I have grown a little older and my taste have change a lot.

OK it's supposed to be an actual JDM, but it has left hand drive? Screams fake to me. Plus it's illegal to import JDM cars whole without approval of customs or a show/antiquity waiver, he mentions niether.

The ones shipped to europe could be right hand drive and ralliart and many other places can ship you whatever you want as long as you dont plan on using it on the road. Rally drivers have been using brand new evos and stis/wrxs in the states for years. Its also got every body part and interior feature of an EVO VII RS-II, it'd be one **** of a fake.

I don't know why you'd pay $40k for a 'JDM' Evo when you can pay $10k less for a US-market one.

And, as has already been stated, it can't be JDM because it's left-hand drive. If it was shipped from Europe, it's not a JDM car, it's a European-market car.

People just love to put 'JDM' on any old thing so the rice kiddies will buy it. I saw a set of 'JDM' grounding wires sold by an American manufacturer. Give me a break...

Thank you Mr. Pockets, I feel vindicated!!! I have seen some real nice fakes. There is always that potential when the stakes are high. No one is going to pass of a turbo neon as a SRT-4, no money. But a fake semi-exotic or rare piece, then you have profit potential. And like I said also before, JDM cars are illegal in the US. As are pure european models. That's why someone as powerful and filty rich as Bill Gates had to visit his European model Porsche 929 at the customs impound lot. If he can't drive it, you think joe e-bay got a real one in?

You mean 959, right? And I'm pretty sure that just last year they were cleared for import to the US.

It's probably a German version... It has the electronic center diff... (Look on the Tach... There is three little lights for "tarmac" "gravel" and "Snow"... ) Only the JDM and Euro markets had that...

Cool car though, but I wouldn't give up either of my nuts for that thing... Can't say that I'd trade my SVX for it either... Not a big fas of EVO's... seen them all my life in Australia and they nefer really rang my bell quite like a Subaru did

Sorry, 959. There was a show or antiquity waiver you could apply for to get imported exotics. Autoweek did a story on a guy in Indiana that did the mountains of paperwork to get the first Jaguar XJ220 into the US. I doubt they would grant you one for an Evo. It has to be a special vehicle with legitamate collector value and limited numbers. 5900 Evo's isn't a limited collector vehicle.
