Re: backseatbelts

The parts all told only weigh 5 lbs. They're not that crafty to remove. Given the choice, if you use your backseat for passengers at all, keep them. You should be able to stuff the belts behind the rear seat and pull the clasps through the seat bottom.

Re: backseatbelts

yeah, i wasnt looking to lose weight
but just gain some visual cleanliness in the back
and you were right, the bottom of the seat comes off surprisingly easily
just shoved the middle ones down, and tucked the side ones under some of the panels...
looks good
as for the back passengers, if there is any... i will refer to them to the first 5 minutes of the movie "Old School"

Re: backseatbelts

Removal of hte rear belts is... fun. The top bolt after you remove the rear panel, doesn't have enough clearance for a wratchet, doesn't give you enough swing room for a wratcheting box wrench, so you end up turning 1/16th of a turn at a time to loosen that bolt. And it's a pain to get to. Tint your windows, it's easier and no one can see in.

Re: backseatbelts

You may want to check into the legality of removing the belts.
