Re: Definition of teenage behavior

This had to turn into a silly thread. The writing was on the wall.

The writing reads: "Definition of teenage behavior"

This is either impossible to define, or utterly simple to define, depending how you look at it.

In the simple version, any behavior that any teenager does fulfills the criterion of "teenage behavior". So also does "all the things that all teenagers do" qualify for inclusion as "teenage behavior"

Essentially simple, any or all of the things that any teenager does would be teenage behavior.

In the impossible scenario, it is impossible to narrow down what behavior is unique to teenagers, because the question lacks a qualifier and is too broad. In order to define behavior that adults perceive as restricted to teenagers, then the title needed to be:

"Define typical teenage behavior", or

"Define what adults perceive to be behavior exhibited only by teenagers"

The ship sailed with a hole in it, and so was bound to sink to this level.

personally i think the pictures are funny as hell on both sides... No animosity from me or from nik as far as I understand it so why not have a laugh in a thread that was made for a "hidden agenda"??

moving away from all the emo pictures and whatnot
id like to state my definition of myself as a 17 year old
i obviously cant say whether or not im typical or not but heres what i think of myself

i wear clothes that fit me (yes i sag a bit but really who doesnt)
i ABSOLUTELY hate modern music whether it be modern rock, rap, country, pop...etc
i prefer older funk and early red hot chili peppers, some late 80s, early 90s bands including sublime, stone temple pilots, and alice in chains
i am ranked somewhere around 25th in my junior class of about 400 something
im taking the highest level classes i can take at my school, including engineering (which is the career i plan to pursue)
im involved in the electric vehicle club, the outdoors club, and some extra engineering projects
in no way would i consider myself a nerd
i dont play video games...anymore, after getting bored of them all
i hardly watch tv
I LOVE MY SVX, and almost all subarus
and i dont have a girlfriend cause i dont have the time or money (no offense to any girls) to deal with them
i live with divorced parents, switching off every week, and i have to say that i like most the parent who gives me the later curfew and doesnt ask as many questions concerning what im doing, when ill be somewhere, how im doing soemthing, and whether or not parents will be around. its not that i wouldnt tell my parents if they asked, but it's definitely a good feeling to not have to worry about the parent that is so overprotective

ahah i guess thats how i would describe myself as a teenager but i can tell you that i have yet to meet many people my age like myself

so the concept of attempting to describe teenage behavior is way too broad.
sounds corny, but really, everyone's different

I did not prompt her, she read the post and jumped in.

Not one comment on HER post! She was the ONLY one from that age group that responded!
I responded about the video games.

Excuse me for not posting more but I'm on my itouch and it's not easy for me to "surf".
