Gas Solution
Im even more motivated to build my ALCOHOL FUEL STILL and tell every large oil corporation to kiss my a$$. By the way BUSH has his hands in almost every oil company in some way either foreign or domestic. Alcohol is clean burning and you get a tax break from the govt. if you do the paperwork. I plan on getting most of my materials from the local dump for free and modifying all my cars to run on it. By the way 190 proof alky is around 110 octane and cost about $0.20-$0.50 a gallon to make.

It is pretty sad if you think that "Bush does not set the oil prices it is the Islamo-fascist countries that hate America" is the second most uninformed quote!

There are currently 45 boutique fuel variations used throughout the continental US. The refinery changeover costs amount to 20% - 40% of your gas cost.
The best way to lower gas prices is to call your congressman and tell them to support H.R.1493.IH. There is no need for 45 different fuels. The EPA needs to lower the amount of custom fuels to something more realistic. For instance in SE Wisconsin, if we run low on our blend, our filling stations can't get additional fuel from the rest of WI or from IL because of the regulations in place by the EPA. When supply is low and demand goes up, so do prices. The refinery switches to produce our gas, then the IL Blend runs low and their prices go up, etc. Doug

Your fuel has to be shipped by rail or truck (fuel taxes), the gas company has to pay corporate income taxes, has to pay matching taxes, unemployment taxes, property taxes, utility taxes, Telecommunication taxes, and a few others. That cost of doing business gets added onto the price you pay for gas. Plus then your federal, state, and even in some places, local governments add their own gas taxes. Think about that for everything you buy. Food, housing expenses, phone, cable, Internet access all priced to include the company's cost of taxes. Some time in May is the current Income tax day, I can't remember, but the real tax day (The day that everything you made so far during the year is handed over to the government and the beginning of you keeping your own money for the rest of the year) is in Late September Doug

Oh and to the octan issue, I just buy a NOS octain booster which brings me up to really high, damn near jet fuel octain levals (race leval) and its cheaper then buying surpreme, (the others go do in price but its stuip like $10 for crappy bost, $15 for premoum, sry sp, and $20 for Surpreme, and that for me is cheaper the buying prem, or surp!

DemonSVX- are you making Ethanol or Methanol? I'll be needing to make some methanol if I can for under $1 a gallon, I'll need it to produce the Biodiesel for the truck I plan to get in the near future...
