Someone Quick!! 5-spd swap in 92 Claret
I came across a 1999 Forester with a naturally inspired 2.5L. He said there is a loose rod in the motor. It is also a 5-spd transmission and I'm wondering if it is possible to swap into my 92 Claret. More I am concerned if it is a good option to be swapping in. I drive hard and looking to boost power sooner than later. Any timely help would be appreciated as it is being looked at by someone else tonight.

Re: Someone Quick!! 5-spd swap in 92 Claret
It should be a possible swap. I don't know what the diff is in that trany, but you will most likly need the rear diff as well. However, I would go with something newer in your case because of your stated driving style and your intention to increase power. Your best bet would be to go with a newer WRX tranny.

ANY tranny will eventually break if you plan on flogging it....
