Not the wheel bearing... but noise in the rear.
The good news! I checked the wheels carefully and wheel bearings are solid. No bearing problem.
The bad news... However, my noise problem is when I turn a corner especially turning to the right. Some turning left. The sound is a little hard to describe but it is sort of like something is dragging, but pulsating at the same time. Turning to the right is the worst. There is some of the same sound after I get straightened out and drive, but the worst is from a complete stop, I move out in a right turn. Any ideas what it could be. (not "U" joints) Keith |

Corrosion on the rotors? Bent or corroded dirt shield for the rotors? Worn bushing?

I vote for the dirt shield. Mine got bent slightly when replacing the rotors and there was a dragging brakes sound.

As has been mentioned dust shields, but those you can typically hear pretty well even at low speeds. If you hear prominently when turning to the right i would start your careful exam of the drivers side of the car first. I'd check the calipers, bushings, dust shield, and any other hardware around that area.

Here is a clue...
I put in the FWD fuse and the noise stopped! The noise pattern was constant, as described, before I put the fuse in. Keith |
