Car talk survey results.. very interesting

Not sure if anyone in the world other than me listens to these guys....Ray and Tom on NPR every weekend (your time may vary)

But I visit the web site and listen to them whenever I get a chance.. These are the kind of guys that if they knew that the SVX existed (maybe they do..) They would love it! Just because of all it's little problems..

Looking though the results of the repair survey that is published on the cartalk site.... I found this....

Waiting on comments

I love these guys! I listen to them every week. And I keep trying to come up with a good SVX question that I could call them about. Funny, some callers with completely different cars call with certain problems, and I can say, "hey, wheel bearing", "hey, sounds like the tranny's going", etc.

I took this survey awhile back, so the results include my input.

I like the car compatibility survey......

It works if you get rid of the "[url]" part and just use this:

http://www.cartalk.cars.com/Tools/su...-rc-systems.pl

I guarantee this one works.

Riddle me this...

Why the heck do they have a list of Makes to select from when the Model list has all makes and models in it anyway??? Considering this is Frick & Frack's website I suppose it makes sense

I think it's a mental thing. None of us want to use those "sounds" for fear of considering them as noises coming from various and sundry positions on our cars.

I listen to the show (almost) every week from their site. I wish they answered more calls - they seem to only get to a few of them in an hour because thy spend so much time on other crap. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the idea of the 'puzzler.' But I thought the show was about cars.

And another thing...

The survey is of course not scientific, but it does seem to show a surprising degree of objectivity.

The results for the SVX are surprising - only slightly higher than average annual maintenance costs compared to the 'average' car.

I know.... It's the radio show I listen to the most though..... and they only say click and clack at the very begining of the show lately.. It's also the name of a newspaper artical that they do each week (or did each week)

CLICK AND CLACK : THE TAPPET BROTHERS..
