Those are good choices. I like the Blitzen not because it's subaru but because it's porche. yepp. porche assemble the car from ground up. They buy the legacy frame and body from subaru. They tune it and all. Good call on that.

I like the RS6 as well. Nice choice. I hate the TT. I sat in it and it feels so tiny and unsafe. I know it's a nice car and all but having it designed in the US, I just don't trust the car. Just my gut feeling I can't change. If someone give me a TT, I'd drive around the block, and go sell it the next day.

I'm not sure why maybe because its my 6th straight 12 hour day at work and it is 0130, but your reasons for not likeing the TT are funny.
When the car first came out I thought it was ugly but somehow it grew on me. It just looks like someone took a Vdub bug and sent it to the gym. For the record I find the roadster version to be very ugly like a bar of soap with wheels.

Prior to November of last year, my daily driver was the '99 Olds Cutlass listed in my sig. It became my mother's daily driver after her '89 Buick Century wagon was totalled and I became the proud owner of a '96 SVX LSi.

As for cars I'd like to someday own, the list currently includes:
  • BMW 850
  • BMW 540i (E39 generation, preferably 2000+)
  • Toyota Supra Twin Turbo (preferably a '94 or '95 in good condition)
  • Subaru Impreza 2.5RS (previous model, except I want it with the engine from the new WRX STi )

I wouldn't mind getting another SVX either.

All as per my sig too.

My current favourite has to be the Honda, particularly in the wet.

Lwin-

I've read a bit about the Blitzen, and I always knew that porsche had a hand in some of the asthetics, but i'm pretty sure that it's a FHI-assembled machine.. I'd like to see something in print or online indicating that it actually works the way you describe..

my other car is the predicessor to the WRX

I could assemble a wish list, but i'm way too tired..

Legacy Blitzens are assembled by FHI in Japan.

As for my other cars, I am a Giugiaro fan and I have one of his designs from the 70's (117 Coupe), the 80's (Piazza) and the 90's (SVX). Just need one current design to complete my collection.

Alfa Romeo Brera!!!

I wish..

I had thought about starting a Giugiaro collection when I saw a RWD turbocharged Isuzu Impulse for sale.. I realized that I really like the look of a lot of his cars.. I think that Italdesign had a hand in the early legacy design

Check my locker for a few pictures of my 117 Coupe. Designed by Giugiaro in 1966 for Isuzu. Still looks good today.

nice!

the front end looks like classic Giugiaro, and I really like the side mirrors.. reminds me of older Skylines

what're the specs on it, and how does it run?

My other is a Fiat Spider 2k - in my signature. As for a name I call it "THE CAR THATS STILL NOT RUNNING AND P!$$!NG ME OFF".

I used to know how to work on a carburator.

The future...

Jean's Impreza will be replaced by a 2.5 RS somewhere down the pike.

The SVX will hopefully live forever with a new 5-speed conversion!

and I guess I will have to break down and get a pickup one of these days. I'm getting tired of borrowing my neighbor's whenever I need to haul something. ( he's a great friend...he really doesn't mind, but I do...)

When winter is officially over, the Swift (with Blizzaks) will be replaced as the "drive to school" car by the Focus.

To be very honest, I can be perfectly happy with that lineup!

Don
