I am claiming complete neutrality to this conflict. I will remain an unbiased observer for the duration of this disagreement.

What's this? my goodness, I seem to be holding a sizeable chunk of Mike's money as well as some of his SVX parts and works of art... hmmmm

Hey, I'm a teen driver of an SVX... and my names Greg too, how bout that, anywho back to sorta the point, i think that a lot of the people i know (under 21) REALLY suck at driving. its true, they doo stupid stuff, and sometimes have wrecks. I was following my friend to an after home-coming dance this year when he tried to take a turn to fast after it just started raining, hit a couple of trees and almost the house. but from what i've been able to tell about the younger SVX drivers... is that i CAN'T tell most of the time between maturity levels between younger and older members in posts...(besides of course the older, fearless leaders of our bunch that are SO much more mature then the rest of us ) I think that its cool how most of the time age doesn't matter so much here...

I'd like to take offence to the teen driver remark too, by saying that Iv never been in an accident either. The only thing is that the only reason i'm not dead is because either im a natural at panick situations or I'm damn lucky. I think it a bit of both. Since the day I got my license my average speed Is like 70mph, I have had more speeding tickets than I can remember, been in several NEAR misses, done many a 4wheel lock up 180's, driven Intoxicated at very high rates of speed, and even did a nice posi linelock in my BRAT in front of a cop to see what kind of fine I whould get. So I made It to 26 without dieing or losing my licese, and I have a lot of on the edge driving expieriance.

But there is noway I'm letting my kids drive my SVX when they turn 16. I know there is the exception to the teen rule but if working in the towing business, It mostly dumb teens wraping thier cars around trees.

Your first paragraph kinda says it all about your younger driving days doesn't it. You may not have been in an accident, but I think that your following statement was very accurate. "The only thing is that the only reason i'm not dead is because either im a natural at panick situations or I'm damn lucky." I think if your statements are true, then you are indeed a "damn lucky" person. I hope your driving has improved.

I don't mean this as a personal attach on you, but only bring this up because you said that you took offence to a previous remark about young drivers. Seeing someone drive like what you described above does not bring on much respect for the younger driver, and unfortunately lumps all youger drivers into the same catagory by some.

I think it's mostly teenage guys who are in the high-risk category, which is one reason why girls are cheaper to insure. I remember researching state licensing laws and found out that people with uncontrollable seizure disorders (who aren't allowed to drive in most states) get in fewer accidents than 16 to 25 y/o guys.

re: subafreak

subafreak, i hope that you NO LONGER drive at high speeds while drunk, driving 10mph while your drunk MAY be acceptable, but high speeds are bad. if you still do, feel free to send me a PM and i'll be glad to come to where you are to break your legs for you

sounds like you've been lucky, but i hope the teenagers around the US does not try what you tried anywhere. we should not encourage people to drive like you or me (i drive just like you ) because they can't handle it.

DAMN TEENAGERS!!!!!!!!!!! (just joking, no offense intended)

but for the record, if you people drive intoxicated, take a cab or get a designated driver. i don't care about age limits for alcohol, i only care about the morons that get drunk and drive. i've seen it ruin some lives of close friends that were coming home from work and some jacka$$ decides to drive home from the bar drunk. makes me want to sit outside of a bar with a baseball bat and tatoo anyone who tries to drive home while heavily intoxicated.

The reason that they (people with uncontrollable seizure disorders and can't drive), don't get into as many accidents is that they don't drive. My insurance agent also says that is the reason females have a lower risk. Most do not drive as many miles as the guys do. There is also the show off for the girls part that raise the risk for the guys.

hey, i am a 20...soon to be 21 year old female driver who drives more miles then any guy my age that i know. my insurance gives lower rates to college students, people who were honor students in high school, and people who took a driving course. i have two of the above. i guess the insurance company thinks that if you have a higher intellegence that you will perform better on the road. most of the accidents in my area are by middle age men who have their families in the car. the most fatal accidents are done by drunk 20 something year olds. i can't explain why teenage drivers get the wrap because..well, they are less experienced, but the people that have been driving for years get a level of comfort behind the wheel...that is a big problem. but then again...teenagers more often have the loud stereos that distract them from the road, not to mention...the hot chicks on the sidewalk . teenagers often have this idea that driving around at night all night...for no reason, but just to drive is fun...i think teenagers spend more time on the road then older people. they got to go out all night, when the vision fields aren't as good, while the adults drive into the sun to and from work. so i think that there are areas in all driving ages that should be looked at before making a decision on who is and who isn't a good driver. it depends on the person in my opinion. i may not be the best driver, but i have had no accidents or tickets in all my years of driving...even though, there is about 4 of them.

Kelli

if you can tell me what i said up there, i will give you a cookie!

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Kelli's birthday is on the 18th of Feb.

Mike Davis (Green1995SVX) will be 21 on the 6th of Feb, and Mike (Paisan) will be 29 on the same day.

Solarsvx will be 26 on the 2nd, and MrPockets will be 26 on the 15th.

Our good friend SVXter (where the heck has he been, anyway?) will be 63 on the 9th.

Dayle, from Motorsports Warehouse will be one click short of 40 tomorrow.

WOW! You say! How does he keep up with everyone's birthday?
