Ditto. I've had my share of "stickin' it" over the years. The SVX just doesn't demand the image of a 5 speed. However, I have absolutely no problem with anyone who does the conversion. "More power to 'em".

Ron (too old & too lazy).

The SVX was my first auto tranny in 18 years. I'd like to have it for the performance improvement as well as I just miss that type of drive. I can't justify 4k at this time as well as the main shop doing it is at the furthest geographical point in the U.S. from me.

To make matters worse, the Fiat I've aquired is also an auto tranny! SHEESH!

Excuse me, Randy. I may be old & lazy, but a Fiat Spyder A-U-T-O-M-A-T-I-C is pure blasphemy. I strongly suggest that you have this situation corrected ASAP.

Ron (pushin' pedalers).

I had no idea they made such an animal. I figured they were just the opposite of the SVX in that respect.

how about: saving for the 5sp while waiting for people to come up with a reliable and affordable autostick....?

(that might be too complicated for a category...)

one more!

How about

Mine died before Huck did his, so I spent $4000 to get the super level 10 rebuild

?

With the turbos coming online soon, it is a good thing that I have the Level 10 rebuild.

When I save up many dollars, I'll do the STi 6 speed conversion >:-)
