Tail lights not working

Tail lights stopped working around the same time I pulled the dash apart to install new stereo. Intending to fit stereo this weekend and really need to get the tail lights going.
I've been through the fuses and they all look intact.
Brake lights work, so I know that the bulbs and wiring towards the back is probably ok.
Most likely something I've done while messing around in the dash.

If you've been here before me and know what it might be, I'd be grateful to hear from you.

Otherwise I'll try to report on Sunday night as to the solution.

That was easy, if you've removed the piece of dash (padded piece below the steering wheel) that carries the twin switch set which turns the park lights off/on & heated mirrors off/on then the tail lights don't go.

Plugged this switch back into the harness, ignition on, tail lights go.

Another problem I can tick off.

On to the next one.
