I just caught the truck Alaska episode last night, I agree it was very good.

yeah they should have used an old WRX or something...you would have thought that tanner being "the Driver" would have thought about that lol not some crappy BMW

Re: Top Gear USA

I'm catching up on all the TG uk shows right now on Netflix. I just got rid of Direct TV and no longer take any cable or sat tv... I'll look for the US show... but I saw one and couldn't help but compare it to the UK show..
I'm at season 12 now....

Re: Top Gear USA

I think we can all agree that the UK and USA versions have their own humor. Not everyone finds the UK version funny, where as I find it hilarious and very entertaining. The US version is funny in its own way, I can at least relate to the cars on there a bit more as we have most likely seen them all.

Re: Top Gear USA

The US version was a huge improvement for the second season. My only complaint this year was that it was a little too overproduced. The junk cars all becoming monster trucks overnight in the 2nd or 3rd ep was a little over the top. Just happening to have rolls of carpet and stacks of pipes when they had to cross the road without touching pavement in the "off road" episode.

I know the UK version fakes parts of the "race" segments but it isn't quite as blatant.

Re: Top Gear USA

wiked: i find them both hilarious to be honest...the only thing i dont really like about the UK one is when they have guests on and i dont know who they are or when he tells jokes that only people in England would get...with US sometimes it seems a little scripted especially with tanner but sometimes i think thats just how he is

hocrest: with the monster truck thing i think that was done purposely just so they could do something stupid with the cars to destroy them...i personally thought that Adam's method of crossing the road was the best the carpet thing was cool though tanner was just being a smart ass...but if you looked around they were in some kind of construction site so it doesn't seem completely impossible that that stuff would be there
