Cylinder 3 misfire

I hopped on the freeway today and my check engine started blinking, then stayed on. had it checked by a guy and it said cylinder #3 misfire.

Any known cause?

Assuming that "the guy" is right on the No 3. How did he check it?
There is either A dud injector, failed coil, or a dud plug.

Hey just hooked up his diagnostic checker. It said misfire on #3.

assuming you have a OBD II, what year is your svx? without more specific symptoms, I second oab_au
