New SVX will be reborn!

Hi all, I'm just registered here and want to share this news I've read...
GM + Subaru; both companies will get 2gether to produce SVX II in the future.
The new engine of cuz from Subaru flat-6 3.3L, it may be with Turbo too.
AWD all the way with SVX II for sure.

give me some time to scan photos...

if you guys have news about that, keep update....

p.s. I love SVX, but now I'm with EJ251.

I have photos of that too.
H-6 3.0 VCD is the flagship for the US market. No turbos. SOA does not want to introduce the turbo on H-6 3.0 anytime soon. 3.3 we have is an old engine and there is no VCD on that. I assume that if they ever make another 2 door flagship coupe, it will be the legacy B39 or something like that with 3.0 turbo but that will not be anytime soon, I'll post my spy pictures and you can post yours and we'll compare notes.

Chances are they are not going to call this SVX. This looks too much like a mazda or another neon.

I dunno...

That pic's from a magazine that I think is a Hong Kong publication.

And being from there, I wouldn't trust them reporting cars. I would trust them to make up stories though... (case and point, many news organizations there reported a bomb found on a UAL flight out of Hong Kong just a few months back... Riiiiight...)

Maybe in an previous edition of that magazine many moons ago, there's a pic of the Twin Turbo SVX too?

Not to burst your bubble, dood - but that's no SVX, despite the misleading random English characters in the image.

It's the Chevrolet Borrego concept and is apparently what GM would like to do with Subaru's AWD.

http://www.gmcanada.com/english/gmin...t-borrego.html

Your photo is the first I've seen of an actual Borrego. Previously, all I had seen were CG images of it, starting at NAIAS 2001. Of course, there might have been one at NAIAS 2002 - I skipped almost all of GM's displays, so I wouldn't know.

Your photo shows a more car-like Borrego than the truck-like CG model in the above link. The Skyline taillights crack me up.

As much as I despise GM, I have this to say in their defense.

Their fuel-cell research, while at first appearing to be a total whitewash, is commendable. The AUTOnomy was a really cool idea, but I didn't think that they'd really commit to the project. I figured they built it to say 'look what we're gonna do in ten years' to give the appearance of a forward-thinking company.

As the author of a WIRED article o nthe AUTOnomy said, 'how can a company who can't make a trunk lid that doesn't dump snow into the car re-invent the automobile?'

Now they have a concept, the Hy-wire, actually built on a first-attempt AUTOnomy chassis.

Again, the only word I can think of is 'commendable.' The Hy-wirewire is actual progress. If they continue to pour funds into this project, and keep it focused, GM might really reinvent the automobile.

First,

Lwin, stop it. Some old fool like me might actally believe you.

Second,

Nick. I think that picture of the Borrego is ugly. It looks like a bad copy of an Audi TT which I also don't care for. GM used to have such great stylists. What has happened to that company?
