WTB: Front Exhaust Pipes

I am looking for new or excellent condition used front exhaust pipes (the ones with the smaller catalytic converters on it). Mine have a large crack in them in front of the heat shield bracket. I live in Woodruff WI, 54568.

Re: WTB: Front Exhaust Pipes

I would suggest getting something fabbed up. More than likely, anything used isn't going to last all that long. Also, it's technically illegal to install used catalytic converters. Get some Aero AR20 resonators to replace the cats and then get a local exhaust shop to fab up the rest. Tomssvx (YT) in New Jersey is selling a pair of brand new resonators for $50 each +shipping ($100 total +shipping) and shipping shouldn't be too much. Then take them to the exhaust shop and get new piping welded in. Or if you have a friend who can do some decent welding, buy him a case of beer and that should be good

well aren't you special with your super low mileage beauty
I'm guessing to get them, you're going to have to go through a dealership/online site or maybe someone here who works at one may be able to get a better discount?

Soon to be not low mileage. I have been driving it daily until I make up my mind on a new car!

Uh-Oh
Seriously, I don't think anyone's going to have any that are what you're looking for laying around. I doubt there's anyone around that was willing to pay (guessing) $200+ for each side new when they can get aftermarket for about $120 for both sides.
Just sayin Mike

How about a silver 03 Legacy GT with 40k on the odo. I'd love to get a X type estate for Angie and convert it to a 5 speed.

Naw, I liken it to driving one of the tractors at work after driving the Jag. I do think if you could find a solid x type 5 speed for the right price you'd be happy for a year or 2 with it. Absolute blast to drive hard!

I'm shooting for something a little bigger. Think Audi S8.

Re: WTB: Front Exhaust Pipes

I've got a complete front section in VG condition having done ~26,000 miles. The cat's are another story however.. it appears the original owner had modified them at some stage. They've been cut open on the top (so you can't see the mod from underneath) hollowed out and re-welded.
