Do you live in condos right off rt.5 +150 with a green svx?
Refer post #11. You are now reporting symptoms more exactly indicating the security system. Disconnecting the circuit switching the lights should fix your problem.

Thanks trevor. Your post (#11) made me think about that and post the sucurity light symptom. You guys on this forum are great, as I now have a real good idea of where to start. Thanks.

Same symptoms here: I, unfortunately had to deal with the dead battery syndrome this a.m.

What was the final diagnosis/outcome?

If the security system module is working, the security button on the dash should flash about every 1/4 second when ON. Once the alarm is set, the light blinks much more slowly.

A steady red light indicates a dead security module.
