I would reccomend going new on these, you're not going to find one for that model that is in anything but worn out conditon as it will be 17 years old.

Yeah, I know you are right. But I want to sell the car and don't want to spend $500 replacing both struts just to get the same amount of $ out of it.

And my shop, which is very good, will not replace just a single new one, they will only replace the set.

New struts will blow within a year as they're old and sitting forever.
