Re: Rotor Replacement

If you DO buy new rotors..... do NOT get the cheap ones which are made of Chinese steel and will warp much more easily then American steel due to the metal quality. Make sure you get American steel rotors..... if you want you can hold the two side by side and compare the weight...... the American steel will be quite heavier due to the higher steel density. I say this because I installed them for 3 years and the cheapies almost ALWAYS came back within a year warped..... and we had to turn them under our warranty.

A couple of years back I bought the front rotors and it said right on the 2 boxes "Made in USA!

I was elated till I discovered that the boxes were the only thing that was actually "made in the USA

Re: Rotor Replacement

Replacing rotors (and rear wheel bearings) today with a set from Motorsports Warehouse. Not sure where they are made but are thicker than stock.

Fronts $150.00 drilled and slotted but not overly drilled like the ones on Ebay.
Rears $145.00 drilled only. Shipping $45.00 to FL and they came fast.

I had very good success with Applied Rotor Technologies Cryogenic product from California. Have lasted me well and will use them again.

Yeah the cryos are awesome, very resistant to warping since the deep freeze aligns the metal lattice, making it very consistent all the way through. Usually a little pricey though... how much did yours set you back?

We can provide you with the O.E.M. Posi-Quiet Unloaded Front Calipers (rebate available upon return of original caliper cores) for $100.00

If you decide to order the entire Front & Rear ART brake Kits with Front Calipers, you would receive a 10 % discount.

Please keep in mind that each ART Brake Kit is custom engineered, manufactured, & cryotreated in-house and your order may involve a lead time.
