FS: 4 18" Nissan Murano Rims

-SOLD-

I'll have pics up later this week, the weekend for sure, but I'm posting now to get the word out. I have a set of 4 perfect 18" Nissan Murano rims, just like the ones that Motorsports warehouse sold some time back. Here's a link to the Motorsports pics: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...+murano+wheels

I will take closeups of each wheel, but they were new takeoffs with just a few hundred miles on them when the Nissan Murano owner purchased Chrome wheels. I bought these to be my winter tire set on my SVX, but now that she's gone to Virginia, I've got to make room in the shed for a few motorcycle restoration projects. I have my original racebike when I started WERA racing, a 1979 Yamaha RD400F Daytona Special. The bike ran great until I had a light seize in a race. Needs pistons, rings and a mild resto. My buddy has this bikes twin and he's giving it to me. It's in stock street trim (mine had racing expansion pipes and some serious porting/polishing of the heads). Last but not least, he's giving me THE original Kawasaki Ninja 600 (Top Gun). This was our first race bike when we started endurance racing, but we soon found out that it had an evil propencity for tank slappers at speed, even with a steering damper. We ended up switching to CBR600 Hondas and never looked back. I digress:

These wheels have the Nissan center caps, but the Chrome Nissan badge is removable from the cap and you can get 4 perfectly sized SVX decals from Motorsports Warehouse for around $15 IIRC.

Included in the sale are four hard anodized aluminum hub centering rings that are sized to fit these wheels on the SVX. Each wheel will come shipped it its own box, and insured via Fedex ground. I will get some weights and have the box dimensions later and will be able to quote shipping per request. Depending on destination, they should cost around $20 each at the most. Since I already have the boxes, I will charge the exact shipping cost without any markup.

Looking at $300 for the set (including centering rings), plus shipping. Watch for pic updates later in the week.

hub rings

I can't remember off the top of my head, but just call Tirerack or discounttiredirect and ask for the hub diameter of the SVX and they'll give it to you. That's the best way to size a ring - call and ask for the SVX hub diamter, then ask for the hub diameter of the wheel donor car (in this instance, a 2005-6 Nissan Murano) and voila, you have your centering ring dimensions.

The aluminum hub rings themselves I bought at www.discounttiredirect.com. Call them and they'll set you up with a set. I paid around $15.00 with free shipping, but that was some time ago and metal prices have gone up so they might me more now.

I think my scale is off but I weighed both the Muranos/tires with the stocks/tires and it only weighed 3 pounds more than the stockers with tires.

You have NO idea how badly I wish I had the money for those wheels. Such a good price! I am sure whomever gets them will be very lucky.

Huck,

I have to drive to Louisville to attend a seminar this Thursday and Friday. I'll be driving Wednesday evening. Should be in your area around 6:00 PM or so. Let me know if your serious about the wheels - obviously your shipping costs would be a big fat zero.

I may or may not make it to Reading (work travel may stop me), but I have some stuff for Eric, my car's new owner. If you're driving to Reading, maybe you can take his stuff up to him. drop me a PM tonight or call me.

My daughter has soccer practice and it was dark by the time we got back, so no pics tonight. I'll try again tomorrow.

Wheel pics are up!

Sorry for the delay in geeting the pics up - I was in Louisville, KY attending a seminar and getting woken up by the largest earthquake in that area in decades - it happened in southern Illinois, but rocked Louisville hundreds of miles away.

Anyway - here they are:

What you get - 4 Nissan Murano wheels in the factory shipping boxes. The previous owner replaced these with Chrome ones when the Murano only had a few hundred miles on it.

Protective packing: - each wheel has a foam liner underneath the wheel and bubble wrap on the top to protect the finish and reduce movement (they're backward in this pic).

Instructions - if you need these, maybe you shouldn't own an SVX. Why are you getting these? Cuz they came in the box - that's why:

Wheel inside:

Wheel markings 1:

Wheel markings 2:

Wheel markings 3:

Hard anodized aluminum (not cheapo plastic hub centering rings - SVX specific!:

Ring specs:

Centering ring inside a wheel:

More to come

Nice wheels man, if I could pick em up, I'd be all over that. Plus if I had tires...

Good luck with the sale!
