If it's the same noise that I have had on my SVX for years then it goes away when the front suspension gets wet.

Nothing is worn out. It is just the rubber seal at the top of the strut sticking because it gets dry. No oil on it from the inside of the sturt. Try some quick back and forth turns. Put that suspension to work

And also from the rubber sway bar bushings. Those bushing clamp the living shlt out of the bar. Lots of compression in those bushings. I think this compression helps the handling at speed. You know that really smooth ride on the highway. Well anyway the bar corrodes and rust when it get worn from the bushings. Then the bushings really stick to the bar. The ends of the sway bar are connected to the struts so there is interlated action going on.

So if you got this noise go look for loose parts and maybe you will find some and maybe you won't. Of course if something is loose it will make some noise.

Now that I have over 326K miles I get another noise similar but not the same and this is might be caused by a failing front left wheel bearing.

Take care of that SVX,

John
