Family Break Up!!

I am sorry to announce that my family is breaking up rapidly. Such, sorrow and joy at the same time.

My collection of cars is going, going and going.

92 Black---to Nephew
92 Pearlie---to Son
97 Black---to Son (still temp in my name)
92 Pearlie---to Dau (very happy)
94 Red---to GrandDau (a very happy camper)

At least we will have an SVX reunion everytime we have a family reunion.

Still leaves me with:

92 Silver
96 Red

Parts cars:
92 Burgundy
92 Pearlie

Lee,
Don't think of it as so much a breaking up of family, think of it as Spreading The Joy!

Be careful you dont gift more than 12000 dollars to any one recipient or you'll pay big in taxes (can you tell i work in taxes?) Depending on what those cars appraise for you could be seeing some problems on your '06 return.

Well, for a long lost cousin to get on the list, they would have to be female and well---you know!!!
I am sure that I have many long lost cousins when it comes to handing out SVXs, but I have several children and grandchildren still in line. So Sorry.............

I am very aware of the usurious taxes on gifts and inheritance that the Demos won't let the congress decrease. It can be up to 72 percent if you skip a generation and the size is fairly large and I don't mean huge. I think this is legal theft from the government when dealing with family. Gifts to people outside the family should be taxed like that, but not within the family. Just my opinion.

Don't worry, I watch the level carefully and really don't have that much to give to very many family members.

Y'know Lee, I was amazed at one stage to see you had such a large collection of SVX's.

Now, I am amazed all over again you are giving them away.

Way to go! You are a generous man. The cars will be used. The recipients, when they find what lovely motors they have been given, can only come to the realisation that you are one of God's good guys.

Just keep a few for yourself in your old age, polishing is good for arthritis!

Joe

Does it matter what you are polishing??

A nephew (different from one that got one of them) helped me do an engine swap to get one of the cars ready (actually he did most of it). He is an excellent mechanic all the way from heavy deisel construction equipment (motors/drivetrains/everything) to drag racers. He was impressed with the construction and mechanics and I suspect he will be buying one in a few months. I hope so because he might tweek it a bit to get some more horsepower out of it.

Actually I still have a great low mileage parts car and one with a good tranny, so you never know---I might just pick up another one if the price is right. I am still not sure I have found the one that I am going to put my 2792 total mile drivetrain in.

It's the motion, not the notion.

New Family Pics

A few pics of new family owner and improvements. I think BigRed (94SVX) will like the new red headed driver better than the old gray headed geezer.

Thumbs up

Cool!

And also cute!

Lee, you are not doing us justice here

You post a 7kb thumbnail of the smashing new owner, and 45kb and 28kb pictures with the cars in them.

Oh, well, at least the work in progress looks good.

Joe

Trying again with a little larger pic. And yes, it is a work in progress, she is underage, so be careful what you say.

The car is called SVXyRed and that also might fit the driver.
