Liquid Nails?

The plastic under the bumper in front of one of my wheels is falling apart because a lady hit something with the bumper pretty good before I bought it. I used fishing string(very ghetto I know) to keep it in place but it still grinds against my tire and does not stay together very well. Would liquid nails or some sort of nail gun do the trick? If I brought the car to a local auto shop do you guys believe they would nail it up for free? Again, this is just the plastic under the car in front of the wheels in the wheel well that is sort of discombobulated. Thank you.

Yes, liquid nails or some similar glue caulk should do the job, but don't try to nail it with a nail gun (or a hammer, for that matter). You will have to apply the glue then hold the parts together in place until the glue adheres and does its thing (just a few seconds with liquid nails, in most cases). If it requires holding it in place for a long time, try propping it with a board or stick, just make sure it stays together until the glue sets. You asked whether an auto shop would glue it for you FREE? Are you kidding? Not unless your brother owns the shop, then you might get a reduced rate. No, this takes time and time is money to an auto shop. Good luck.

Are you talking about the wheel well liner that starts in front of the tire and goes up over the top and then down towards the back?
I'd use a couple short pieces of sheet metal and pop rivets to patch it together. Remember - you don't want that thing coming apart at 70mph and wrapping around the tire (I've had it happen, it sucks)

If it is teared up bad or damaged, pull it off and get a new one. It doesn't cost much, I remember its like $35. It may sometimes drop off on freeway and damage ur tire also at high speeds. I am assuming that it is wheel well.

Well, it's kind of hard to explain because it isn't one particular piece. It is basically what hangs under the bumper between the front and the wheel well. It usually sits up high and is tight together, mine is splitting off in different parts. Where can I buy the pieces for 35$ to make sure we are talking about the same thing? duct tape may be not a bad idea..lol...I'm hesitating to use the liquid nails because I do not believe it was super adhesed together to begin with.

How about a photo? I don't believe liquid nails is good for exterior applications.

If I had to say I think it is more underneath, like the shell plastic underneath the bumper and underneath the engine on one side which is falling apart? Can I replace this?
