Angry Help with weird idle problem help please?

I have a 1992 SVX LS-L that idle's funny but runs perfect. When it is in park it idel's at about 800rpm's but souds like it is galloping live a big V8 yet sometimes when I am out on the road the check engine light comes on but get this when you floor it and let it down shift and get up to speed about 30 seconds to be exact the light goes out and doesn't come back on till I turn the key off then back on and drive back down the road. I don't know if I need to replace the cats or the 02 sensor's or the fuel injectors or what so if anyone can help please do cause this is very annoying.

Thanks Brandon

I would say replace the O2 sensors or at least check to see which one is bad. I had a problem when I first bought my car and the light would come on when I went up steep hills, then went away. Mine turned out to be a right side sensor...but I replaced both of them to be safe.

Instead of guessing, the best place to start is by checking which code is being triggered by the ECU. Instructions on how to do this can be found on http://svx-iw.com/ in the SVXipedia.

If you can tell us the code(s) we'll go from there.
