Window Help
Yesterday my passenger side window stopped working and won't go down. Now I am down to no A/C and minus one window in a heat wave...cool
I get no response when I use the drivers side door switch(either up or down). On the passenger side, when I pull the switch up, the motor makes noise, like its trying to push the window up, but it can't because it is already up, and no response at all from passenger switch when I push it down. I'm pretty sure this problem is related to the switches, but I don't know what one. Can they be fixed, or must be replaced? |

I had the same problem with my car and asked for help. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. . .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ..... .................................................. .................................................. ...................
So after waiting and no one really helping me i sprayed contact cleaner on my switch. It rolls down but only half way. Im going to get a new one. Try the contact cleaner, still nothing then see if you can buy one. Hope that helps. |

If you hear the motor but the window is not moving then it could be the "sleeve lock". You may want to take the interior door trim off and see what's going on in there.
If it's the switch you may be able to press down as you normally would to lower the window then gently press down on the back of the same switch at the same time.

I'm pretty sure that it is switch, but what wires are you talking about?

Did you try the contact cleaner???
Just try it. It might save you alot of wasted time and money. |
