Obviously the didn't teach ya math at you're state school either. Then again, maybe you're plan is to only work for 4 years.

Anyone with half a brain? You just excluded yourself

The fact is that a degree from one of those schools simply means you paid way too much for your education. You still have to go out and compete for a job just like everyone else does. The school will make it sound like employers roll out the red carpet and push all the other applicants aside when someone with a degree from their school applies. A great sales pitch apparently, cause it works. Problem is it's completely not true. If anything, it's harder to get a job with a highbrow degree because companies would rather pay the state school graduate $40k than pay the ivy graduate $60k. On top of that, if anyone with experience in the field shows up, you are SOL.
oh, i apologize for thinking that your buddy went into law after he graduated. i assumed he did legal work for Shimpano versus a bicycle parts salesman. you're right, he wasted $150k. what an idiot.

your pal the chemical engineer should have gone into making meth or something to pay off his loans. maybe he could get a job selling bicycle parts too.

i never said i have a brain. actually i'm a dumbass and i'm proud of it.

i always thought that the point of going to ivy league schools was to get a decent education and meet people who already have potential futures. at least that's what they taught at harvard law. i remember a friend of mine (who's making well over $150k now) telling me that during his stint there, they helped develop your networking skills with others. i remember him telling me that during orientation, they said..'take a good look around you and get to know your classmates. one day they may be the next president or senator, blah, blah, blah.'

Well after what Noir pointed out, I bet you feel a bit silly having said this.

As for my comment, perhaps I should put it a different way:

Why would I, when you're typing with a teething baby in hand it takes a lot of your attention.

Yeah, that chance of about 30% more annually (which is the average over a state school if you read and comprehended my last post) is actually the average salary difference. Assuming you understand averages and inflation it would take about 12 years to pay that difference in the surplus salary assuming that your but since you tend to focus on people in your little world for your examples rather than statistics I totally understand your lack of ability to comprehend anything bigger. Wanna play with my daughter in her saucer gym? Its got a GM on it!!!
