Should be another easy one. Do you have tail light condensation? If so take out the tail lights and seal the gasket "both sides to be safe" with some regular RTV, clear or black. This should take care of both problems. If you still have a leak you might want to seal the large plastic plug below the tail lights, Ive seen thatr leak to.

Some Svxer's used to have that problem with water in the trunk. So you're not the only one
Wash your car and see what happens. I'm guessing tail light seals.

Double thanks, found water in my car's lower trunk area. No tail light condensation though. Trunk seal looks fine, upper area dry, will check those antenne and sunroof drains.

I wouldn't put silicone on both sides of the gasket as you'll never ever get them off the car again.

I recentlyjust got this car and Well I noticed the condensation. What is the best thing to use to seal the tailight. And trunck.

Do I need to pull out the taillight assembly.

What exactly is making water leak into the trunk?

Water gets in the trunk between the taillight<->gasket<->body.

I put silicone between the taillight and gasket then grease between the gasket and body to stop the condensation in the taillight and water in trunk.

Water in my trunk?

I Just noticed water in my trunk. I think it may be from the main seal. It rained here really hard. I don't think it was coming from the tail light area, because the rear carpet and masonite board were wet on the left side. Anyone seen this before? This car doesn't have a sunroof, so i know it's not that.

I had a similar thing happen to me. when i bought the car there would be condensation in it every morning! there would also be a puddle of water in the trunk. the culprit was the pas. side tail light, it would leak behind the seal so i siliconed all the rear lights and no more water yours sounds light it might be the seal that goes around the trunk or the rear panel light on the trunk. try sealing the gasket and it might work.
