"Aftercooler" is just Vortech's fancy name for an Air-to-water intercooler.

lol, ya the prototype manifold work is dragging on but it will be done soon enough. Considering we have the engine management already done I'd say we're still light years ahead on development.

The supercharger Im getting is a centrifugal, not a screw type like you are working on mike. Might be a little easier to fabricate i hope so

Centri setups are usually much easier to fabricate because you can maintain the stock intake manifold, but the problem in the SVX's case is that there's precious little room as it is, and its even further complicated by having to position the centri on a drive belt. I hope you considered your centri's rotational direction before paying for it, because if you manage to find a place to mount it you'll have to make sure that the belt is spinning it in the correct direction, it would be a bummer to find a mounting location only to discover that the supercharger would be spun in reverse..

The only other problem with centri setups is that they tend to make less torque than turbo or roots type setups, but in a tranny-busting SVX's case that might be a good thing.
The intercooled Vortech SC-trim kit that I tuned on a 350Z made 370 SAE rwhp but only 315 rwtq, at only 4.5 psi thanks to the 6 psi pulley being intended for sea level use and the 5500ft elevation here in Albuquerque. Nonetheless that particular 350Z walks STi's and such with ease.

good luck with the kit. I think you will need a good deal of ECU reprogramming to do though. Sorry to say this but getting a custom ECU would mean going stand alone and thats booko bux plus tuning is going to really hard. Well anyway, good luck and if you get it done i want a full write up on it including parts and stumbling blocks (sorry you are bound o hit a few).
