If you have the rotor off, get some old lug nuts and screw them about half way on and pound the sh!t out of them with a small sledge hammer. It may help to saturate the studs in PB Blaster the night before and some heat couldn't hurt like propane. After you get all of the studs loose the ABS tone ring will be holding them from falling out. They are hex bolts which are probably rusty so you may have to drill them out, good luck it's a pain in the a$$ job.
P.S. be careful with the tone ring, they break easily. P.S.S. I don't know anything about the rears, sorry

Why diddn't he just hand thread it a few times first?
While bleeding my brakes last week I found one of the lugs had been cross-threaded on undoubtedly w/ an impact gun. I spent 5 min twisting untill the stud finally snapped and hit the garage floor like an emptied shell casing. I allmost feel like driving to ID and throwing it through the front window of the shop that rotated the tires just before I bought her... but I like to keep my concience clear. Lucky them.
Pulp fiction reference "oh, what I'd give to catch that mother****er doin it" Anyways, I bought the car used so I guess I should expect small things like this. I plan on driving around w/ a 4 lug wheel untill June when I'm taking Driveline technology in school. I figure I might as well do it right AND get credit for it if possible. BXSVX, I suggest you take it to a flat rate shop and sip coffee while you listen to the obscenities eminating from the shop. Might be more entertaining than prime time television. Before you become too convinced that it someone's fault you might consider that chrome lugnuts have a tendency to bind up on lug studs. What happens is the chrome on the lugnut threads eventually flakes and lodges in the threads and the only way to remove it is to twist the stud in half. You'd be doing yourself a favor to take the remaining lugnuts and tap the open end of them on a clean piece of paper to see how much crap comes out of them. Also, any nut(s) you can't spin completely on to the stud is suspect.
Why is everyone so quick to blame the tech? Damn! It's not like this stuff can't happen for any other reason (like a 12 year old car with a gazillion miles on it, for starters.) Besides, who here is perfect? I can't count how many times I've rec'd the wrong order at a drive-up, bank errors, etc. Sorry, but too many people have jumped on this bandwagon of bs.

I would have given them the benefit of the doubt if the didn't scratch my rims, loose my engine cover clips, forget to put my dipsticks in and bend my antenna.

If you can get the stud out by beating on it with a hammer than that is great. If the hub is still on the SVX and the bearings are in place, excessive force could damage the bearings. I have a picture in my locker showing a large C-clamp I use. The pic is for a 97 Impeza and I have used the same for the SVX.
I have noticed that when the SVX wheel comes off the rim will often drop onto the studs and this leaves aluminum in the threads of the studs. A quick wipe will remove it before installing the nuts. I like to check all the lug nuts after I get new tires or work done on the cars. One time a stud was messed up and most times the nuts are to tight. Now I don't use the shop that stripped the stud.
