As an aside, I've spent waaaayyy too much on games lately - even for me. GTA:SA and Ace Combat 5 (the Wank Edition with the flight stick and throttle controller) came out the same day. Now Halo 2, which I had to buy a new XBox for because I apparently wore my first one out.

No more until GT4.

Sounds like it. The first one I bought was bad out of the box - wouldn't read DVDs. Then last year the laser assembly on mine went bad and I had to replace it.

does anyone know of a ps2 emulator that works on the pc. because my Graphics car blows ps2 and game cube out of the water. i didn't include xbox because it uses the same graphics card (ati 9800 pro) but now that the x800 came out im out of date. but still it would be nice to try the games before i buy them (after waiting a year for the pc release)

I was under the impression the XBox used a variation of the Geforce3 video card.

Actually there are a LOT of good games for the Xbox. I tend to like racing games and no other console has a selection like the Xbox.

Your card may be the shizzledizzle, but running ROMmed games through an emulator over the OS will slow your ****e down, son.

#1 rule of fast computers: it's only as fast as the slowest resource, which is likely your RAM, or system bus.

Magic Happy Puppies Tubscrubbing Adventure may be on the list of announced games, but with increasing mature support and old 1st geners like myself becoming, well, old, Nintendo has shifted some of its focus to accomodate. So GC doesn't have cookie-cutter platformers and shooters and brawlers running around. What it has is awesome.

As for battery life, the dual (backlit [via switch])screens will suck up some juice, but the PSP boasts higher performance. It's commonly known the amount of energy required to power a digital device is directly proportional to it's maximum clock frequency and amount of running resources. N.DSs battery will match PSPs.

I respectfully request that you not discuss pirating games on these forums.

I'm not even aware if a PS2 emulator exists. I just enjoyed pointing out his computer isn't fast enough to handle one were it possible to try.

I've had my PS2 for well over 3 years, and it still works great.

I dust it out every once in a while, but other than that.... >shrug<
