Anyone else despise Manheim Steamroller music?

I like the parody Christmas music, I have two great CDs, Chipmunks Roasting on an Open Fire, and Sleighed. Chipmunks is basically the old songs with new words, my favorite song being "Santa Claus is Fooling Aroung." Sleighed is some punk versions of the old songs and some originals done by bands like NoFx and Blink 182, my favorite song on that one is "Santa Get Off of my Girlfriend." Santa gets around doesn't he? Trans-Siberian is awesome too.

I'm honestly in shock right now that so many of you have the taste to buy a car like the SVX, yet listen to such complete garbage. Tran-Abominbal Orchestra?! Gimmie a break. It's like soft metallica Xmas music. WTF is that?! Manheim Steamrollers? CHEESY SYNTHESIZED CRAP! Next thing you know one of you will start touting 'Country Western Xmas" music.

I think I'm going to go shoot myself.

Or just listen to Sinatra, Bobby and a few other of the boys sing REAL christmas music.

I feel violated actually. I don't understand how you can all enjoy listening to such .... such ... complete ****.

Please... Its a shame that you cant see ANYTHING from other then your own point of view and cant let other people make their own choices without flying off the handle. So what if someone likes music that you dont. Is it necassary to rant about how bad (in YOUR opinion) the music is?

You said its a bunch of crap and others have said they like it. This makes you feel violated? If this is as bad as your life gets then you must be doing OK. We have men and women sitting in Iraq and other countries that would love to hear ANY christmas music. But they cant because they are on patrol and they are praying that they get to go home (alive and in one piece) to see thier family members that they have not seen in the past 6 or more months.

One other thing. As for being violated, maybe you should volunteer at a rape crisis clinic to get a real understanding of what it is like for a human being to be violated.

Yup, Metallica S&M. Michael Kamen conducting. Nice blend of genre's. Never been of fan of Metallica, but I love that disc.
