Unhappy

Sorry to hear about and even sorrier to see the damage in that pic. Best of luck. I don't think finding a bumper will be nearly as hard as matching the paint. Silver is, as I understand it, the hardest color to match properly. Best of luck and post some pics once she's fixed.

No aftermarket rear bumpers that I'm aware of. Sorry.

I hope you were polite considering you were backing out and technically backed into her. The way I see it, you were pretty lucky you didnt get the citation.

Some a$$hole in our neighborhooed hit my sister's car from behind. We asked them not to go through insurance since it just ends up costing us more money, but of course the a$$hole had to report it and file a claim. So yes, we got the $1500 from insurance to repair the car, but our rates ended up going up because of it. So not only did this moron hit her, but this moron ended up costing us more money in the end. It was some dumb teenaged girl too.

So yeah, you might be all pissed off that you got into an accident, but you definitely f**ked up that lady's day and possibly her insurance simply by causing her to report it.

The majority of us have backed out of spaces that were surrounded by other vehicles, hampering our ability to see, and yet the majority of us have never backed into on coming traffic. My advice to you: be more careful and don't just blindly and recklessly pull out.

OUCH!!!

Hi,

I like the pic of the prototype rear bumper but your injury does not seem to be done to this bumper....

Just an optical illusion??

I'm afraid it will take more than elbow grease. With all the paintchips, swirls and fades.....nothing short of a repaint will do.

Billy Bob down the mountain will redo it for $200 if I supply the Sherman-Williams.....

Just kidding.....no repaint until it can be done right.

Of course by THEN there may not be any paint left on it. Don

Oooh sorry to see that.
The prototype bumper looks real nice I wonder how much it would cost to have someone fabricate one, also looks like you'd have to have some exhaust work done to fit the bumper.

Talking Great news...

....Sorta
Have a friend who says there is a guy at his body shop who can fabricate a bumper but he needs one to work with. So we'd need to have a bumper that is at least close enough and he can make it work.
This cat says he took a bumper for a Intergra and fit it on a MX6 and it looks real nice bonded and everything.

Hey Don, that sounds like the guy who painted my old truck. Several coats of green house paint, and it looks like much of it was actually applied with a roller. The flip side is that the metal underneath is mostly solid, having been sealed in a nice thick layer of latex (no, not the ultra-sensitive kind).

The best part is the black paint on the tires, though
